Sutton and Cheam MP launches survey and calls on government to scrap N.I. rise
Lib Dem MP for Sutton and Cheam Luke Taylor has launched a new survey for local businesses in Sutton and Cheam.
The survey will give businesses in the area the chance to tell Luke Taylor what challenges they are facing and what needs to change to ensure their continued success so their local MP can push for it in Parliament.
It comes as he renewed his calls for the government to scrap their employers’ National Insurance tax rise, claiming many are struggling following years of “Conservative economic vandalism”.
Liberal Democrat MP for Sutton and Cheam, Luke Taylor said:
“Local businesses are the backbone of our community and provide a great service to people here in Sutton and Cheam. We should be doing all we can to support them.
“That is why I am excited to launch this new survey to give businesses in our area the voice they deserve to ensure they can keep providing those great services to everyone here in Sutton and Cheam.
“It is also why it is so important that the government rethinks and scraps their National Insurance hike on our local small businesses.
“After years of Conservative economic vandalism, businesses here in Sutton and Cheam have been hammered with increased costs and less support.
“The new government now risks making the same mistakes with their misguided tax on jobs.
“They should show that they have listened to concerns and will scrap this tax hike.
“They must focus instead on supporting our high streets, not continuing to saddle them with more burdens.”
